RoADAR Northeast
Better Driving and Riding in our Region

The local group of RoSPA Advanced Drivers and Riders.  A team of volunteers promoting safe and more rewarding Driving and Riding through improved skills.

As one of over 50 local groups around the UK we offer a supported route to National RoADAR Membership, which is achieved by passing the RoADAR advanced Driving or Riding test.  We encourage members to work towards the advanced test, but but still offer practical tutoring if members prefer not to take the test.

We are a non-profit organisation whose members pay a small annual subscription to cover the running costs of the group.  Accounts are kept by the committee’s treasurer and an annual financial report is presented to the group at our annual general meeting.

Everyone involved in the group participates on a volunteer basis.  The Driving and Riding tutors are volunteers giving up their time to pass on the valuable skills they have learned.   The management committee are volunteers who give up their time to : organise tutoring activities; group meetings; special events; guest speakers; resources for members and to liaise with other local organisations and the National RoADAR organisation.

The group is run for the benefit of its members, and warmly welcomes any member volunteering to help with the running of the club.
